THE PRACTICE OF WELCOMING: iRest® Yoga Nidra with Nöle Giulini

When we want this moment to be other than it is we experience stress and internal conflict: We separate from what is.
Healing occurs when we are no longer absorbed and tangled up in likes and dislikes. Attention bound in reaction is now available for change and transformation.
A change of perspective invites a feeling of radiant and joyful translucence in the body and brings about profound insights and Awakening.

The practice of iRest® helps calm the nervous system, integrate difficult emotions and thoughts, and helps find authentic responses to life’s challenges.

Relationship is our ultimate spiritual practice.

This weekend we will use the dance floor as our dojo, a fluid heart as our destination, and every dancer as our teacher.

In this 5-day retreat, we explore the relational capacity of the heart. We engage a multi-faceted movement range, deepen in ritual and dare to love, weep, laugh, and meet the splendor and 'terrible beauty' experiences that come with the river of life.

Moving through the portals of Soul Motion®, we will dance with the grace of our belonging and the struggles of our exclusion. Through organismic movements and primordial sounding, in the inquiry style of Continuum, we will explore the intelligent dynamics of the elements in our bodies; deepening our inherent connection to our wild breathing planetary body.

SOUL MOTION: THE WAY OF THE MOVING MYSTIC - Michael Molin-Skelton and Aletia A. Alvarez

  • Madrona MindBody Institute (map)

Mysticism is neither a faith nor a belief, nor is it a principle or a dogma. A mystic is born; being a mystic means having a certain temperament, a certain outlook on life. It is for this reason that many are confused by the word mystic, because mysticism cannot be explained in plain words.

Our path is to continue to open and receive the wisdom of body vision and knowledge.  This program takes the next step in receiving and recovering the somatic resources available to us through movement, ritual, poetry, nature, journaling, prayer, art, and the dynamics of tending space.

RADICAL WHOLENESS ~ PHILIP SHEPHERD, Weekend Workshop

Move out of your head and into your life.

Our deepest yearning is to experience wholeness in our lives – yet too often we feel scattered and off balance.  The main source of our fragmentation is that we have been taught to live in our heads.  Divided from the breath, the present, and the profound intelligence of the body, we sit in our heads and strain to make sense of it all.
